KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Mckenzie Staub lined a walk-off RBI double into the right field corner to score Lexi Klum from second base in the bottom of the eighth inning, lifting Oregon Tech to a 4-3 victory over Cottey (Mo.) in the NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Round Klamath Falls Bracket at Stilwell Stadium.

The Comets (30-16) took a 3-2 lead in the sixth on pinch-hit 2-run homer from Diona Perkins, but Tech answered, as Klum scored on a throwing error in the bottom of the frame to tie the score.

In the eighth, Klum reached on the fourth error of the day by the Missouri squad and Staub followed, lining a ball into the corner to plate the winning run.

Lacey Cruz struck out 5 and had 0 earned runs in the 7 innings pitched.
