Leavenworth, Kansas– The Cottey College Comets (5-1) softball program will travel to Leavenworth, Kansas to take on non-conference opponent Saint Mary Spires (3-1) on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 for a double header starting at 1:00 PM.

The Comets are coming off a successful first home stand. They defeated a strong MidAmerica Nazarene program in both games of their double header. The bats have been alive early this season with Karina Ramirez leading the team with 10 hits and 10 stolen bases.  Aryana Palencia is leading the team in home runs with 4 and RBI's with 12.

Lacey Cruz has been leading the charge when it comes to pitching for the Comets. She holds a 2-1 record with 29 strikeouts. 

The Spires come into the match-up with a 3-1 record. Most recently they split with Evangel University. Dropping the first game 10-0 and then bouncing back and defeated Evangel 5-1.
