Palencia named AMC Player of the Week

St. Louis, Mo. – Aryana Palencia of Cottey (Mo.) has been selected as the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Softball Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday. Palencia was selected from nominees submitted by each institution based on their performances from Feb 6 through February 12 and chosen through a vote of Sports Information Directors from around the AMC.

Palencia went .714 at the plate in two games against MidAmerica Nazarene University.  She had four extra base hits – three home runs and one double.  Palencia had 8 RBIs, 4 runs, one walk, and no strikeouts on the day.   Palencia was also flawless on the field, recording 6 putouts, 1 assist and one double play.
