The Cottey College Comets Softball program was picked 5th in the American Midwest Conference Preseason Poll. The Comets did receive one first place vote, and were only one point behind Columbia College for fourth in the poll. Cottey is coming off a AMC Conference Tournament Championship, as well as grabbing the first Opening Round victory in program history at the National Tournament. Cottey graduated a large cadre of seniors, but second year Head Coach Rebekah Klinginsmith looks to reload for the 2024-25 season. Cottey kicks off their season in Mesquite, Texas on February 6th against Bethany College (KS) in a large tournament. Cottey's first home contest is set for March 7th, a home double-header against MidAmerica Nazarene at 1/3pm.
