Klinginsmith comes to Cottey from the University of Saint Mary (KS), where she served as the pitching/catching coach. During her tenure at Saint Mary, Klinginsmith played a pivotal role in bringing rapid success to the softball program. Under her guidance, the team achieved a record-breaking 24 wins in a single season, the highest since 2016. Notably, the team secured victories against two top-25 opponents. In addition to on-field success, Klinginsmith has fostered a culture of excellence in academics, with the team achieving an impressive 3.68 team GPA.
Klinginsmith's softball journey includes playing at NCAA Division I Mississippi Valley State University, followed by Ottawa University (KS). She seamlessly transitioned into coaching, taking charge of a local travel ball team in Kansas City before becoming the Head Coach of Advanced Fastpitch Academy for two years.
