The Cottey College Comets move to 3-0 on the season with a home win over Ozark Christian College 62-46 at Hinkhouse on November 4, 2022.

The Comets outpaced Ozark Christian College in the first quarter, outscoring their opponents 11-9 and making 100% of their free throws. In the second quarter, Cottey continued to outpace Ozark, outscoring Ozark Christian 17-14. The Comets went into the half ahead by only 5 in a close game. Both teams came out strong in the third quarter; the highest scoring quarter of the game. The Comets were fifty percent from the three point line in the third quarter, scoring 21 points to OCC's 17 points. A quiet fourth quarter, the Comets held the Ambassador's to only 6 points, bringing home a decisive win for the Comets, 62-46.

Cottey showcased their deep bench with 23 points coming from the bench. It was a strong defensive night on the boards for the Comets with 30 defensive rebounds on the night. Claudia Hadlock led the Comets with 17 points and four assists. Derin Akdeniz had 16 points for the Comets and 11 rebounds. Olivia Pruitt added 13 points off the bench.

The Comets are back in action Saturday November 12 at 1:00 pm against Graceland University.
