Nevada, Mo. – The Cottey College Comets basketball team will face conference opponent the Columbia College Cougars at  5:30 pm on Thursday December 15, 2022. 

The Comets (6-4) are coming off a win against Ecclesia College Royals 64-42 at Hinkhouse on December 6, 2022. The Comets (6-4) were led in that game in points by Claudia Hadlock with 18 points with an impressive 6 for 8 from the field, including 3 for 4 from beyond the arc and perfect 3 for 3 from the line.  Hadlock also had 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals.  Olivia Pruitt also going double digits for the Comets with 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists.  Dally Coulter leading the charge for the Comets on the boards with 11 rebounds.  Coulter also put up 5 points, 2 assists, and a steal. 

The Cougars (7-3) played an exhibition game against Grand Canyon University on December 11, and are coming off a conference win against the Mustangs of Central Baptist College, 80-47.

The Cougars conference win over the Mustangs had four players in double-digit points as Abby Backes led the way with 18 points, followed by Mackenzie Hess with 15 points, and DeLaney Horstman and Peyton Crowe each finished with 11 points.
