The Cottey College Comets basketball team will play conference opponent Missouri Baptist Spartans on January 14 at 1:00pm at Hinkhouse in Nevada, Missouri.   

The Comets (7-9, 3-6) are coming off a tough conference loss to Hannibal-LaGrange Trojans 51-48.    

The Comets were led in that game by Claudia Hadlock with 16 points, 6 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.  Sarah Hunt with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal for the Comets.  Sara Montesdeoca a powerhouse on the boards for the Comets with 10 rebounds.     

The Spartans (12-3, 8-1) are first place in the AMC and coming off a conference win against Harris Stowe State University 84-50.  Leading the Spartans was Kasey Rice with 19 points and Tionne Taylor with 18 points.
