Nevada, Mo. – The Cottey College Comets basketball team will face conference opponent Harris Stowe State University Hornets at  5:30 pm on Thursday January 26, 2023. The Comets won the matchup earlier in the season 77-69.  

The Comets (8-11, 4-8) are coming off conference road loss against the Central Baptist College Mustangs 54-49 in Conway, Ark. on January 21, 2023.   The Comets were led in points by  Claudia Hadlock with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, and Lauren Jones with 11 points, 1 rebound. Dally Coulter led the team in rebounds with 7 rebounds.  

The Hornets (4-13, 3-9) are coming off a conference win against Hannibal-LaGrange University, 63-57 on January 21. The Hornets were led by Kya Gordon with 15 points, 5 rebounds, Destiney Amaefula with 13 points, 3 rebounds, and Samara Swire with 12 points and 3 rebounds.
