Coach Mitts' career spans three wonderful institutions, coaching many wonderful teams, and impacting the lives of thousands of young students. Her impact coaching on the hardwood is clear, but her impact outside of the gymnasium is just as immense. Cottey College Athletics is proud to have Coach Mitts as our fearless leader, and are excited to see what the rest of the season has in store!
Coach Mitts has coached for over 20 years at the college level, including at Rockhurst University (1995-2000) and Missouri Southern State University (2000-2013). She is the winningest women's basketball coach in Missouri Southern history. Dr. Mitts has also served as assistant professor of kinesiology at Missouri State.
Go Comets!
