
Cottey College Basketball went on the road Tuesday night, and brought home a W after battling Baptist Bible, winning 74-59. The game was a back and forth affair for most of three quarters, before the Comets controlled the final frame 22-11 to create the 74-59 final score. It is a nice preview of the future, when Baptist Bible will join the American Midwest Conference, and become a conference opponent. The Comets shot very well the entire game, shooting 48.4% field goals, and 88.9% from the free throw line.
The Comets were led in scoring by Junior Autumn Wallace, who put up a monster 27 points and 11 rebounds. Sara Montesdeoca poured in 18, while Dally Coulter added 14 points to round out double figures scorers. Coulter also grabbed 11 boards, making 2 players to put up double-doubles in this game. Sarah Hunt Just missed out on double figures with 9 points, while also adding 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.
The win moves Cottey to 6-3 overall, with a few days off before taking on Kansas Christian College at Home on Saturday December 9th at 1pm.
