Coach Belk is in his first season as Head Coach with the Cottey College basketball program.
Before coming to Cottey College, Belk was an assistant coach at Carthage High School. He oversaw guard development and assisted with film sessions, practice planning and team camps. Before that he worked as an assistant at College Heights (Joplin, MO), where he helped lead the program to their first winning season in 14 years. He would remain at College Heights for 4 years, helping them achieve 3 winning seasons during his time. He oversaw the offensive implementation, player development, along with weight room and conditioning workouts. Coach Belk was also the regional director for Rain Makers Christian Sports Ministry where he was in charge of all basketball and travel operations.
Belk played for Sterling College from 2012 to 2014 before transferring to Ozark Christian College to finish out his playing career playing basketball and soccer. Belk was a part of Ozark’s Soccer Regional Championship Team in 2014.
Belk graduated from Ozark Christian College with a degree in Bi-vocational ministry and a degree in Kinesiology from Missouri Southern State University.
Belk served as Assistant Coach to Dr. Maryann Mitts for three seasons before taking over as the Head Coach for the 2024-25 season.
In addition to Coach Belk's coaching duties, he serves as an administrator in the athletic department as the Assistant Sports Information Director, and the Operations Manager.
