The American Midwest Conference announced Monday that three Comet athletes have been honored with Player of the Week Honors. Seniors Sara Golden, Sarah Hunt, and Dally Coulter were all selected for their performances over the previous week.

Golden's record breaking performance at the Railwood Open, shooting a 74-73 to take 3rd place in the tournament. This was Golden's final competition as a Cottey Comet, a worthy recognition for all of her accomplishments at Cottey College. The Senior from Carthage, MO is on track to graduate this fall with dual degrees in Criminology and Organizational Leadership. 

Sarah Hunt and Dally Coulter were the Offensive and Defensive players of the week respectively; they helped take down Southwestern College in the season opener. Hunt led the Comets in scoring with 14 points, while also grabbing 7 rebounds. Coulter garnered defensive honors for her double-double performance, putting up 11 points, 11 rebounds, and keeping the Moundbuilders off the glass.
