Dr. Tietz joined the faculty at Cottey College in the department of psychology in 2001. Teaching interests include developmental psychology, psychology of women and gender, and psychology of sport.
She began serving as Faculty Athletic Representative at Cottey College in 2024. Past administrative roles with athletics include co-chair of the Cottey College Athletic Advisory Board (2004-2006) as well as Senior Woman Administrator at the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg (1998-2001).
Dr. Tietz received her B.A. in psychology from Rice University, her M.A. (1995) in experimental psychology, and her Ph.D. (1998) in developmental psychology from Texas Tech University.
