
Warrensburg, Mo. – The Cottey College women's outdoor track & field team continued their 2023 campaign at the Mule Relays hosted by the University of Central Missouri this past Friday.
Freshman Madalenn Fee competed in her first 3000-meter steeplechase run finishing 5th place finish with a time of 12:18, breaking the school record and ranking her 4th overall in the American Midwest Conference. Freshman Hannah Hayduk then competed in her first outdoor open 400-meter dash finishing 8th overall with a time of 1:02.11, breaking the school record and ranking her 2nd overall in the AMC. To finish the school record-breaking streak, a 4X 400-meter squad of Kiana Garcia (Junior), Mikaela Fabey (Sophomore), Madalenn Fee and Hannah Hayduk finished 9th overall with a time of 4:25.37.
In the 1500-meter run, Kiana Garcia ran a long-earned 10-second personal record with a time of 5:26. Sophomore Taylor Rechenmacher broke her personal best in the 10,000-meter run by over one minute with a time of 46:43. Kyndal Soukup (Freshman) ran her collegiate personal best in the 5000-meter run with a time of 22:06.
