Madalenn Fee Snags All-American Honors in 1000m

Madalenn Fee Snags All-American Honors in 1000m

Cottey College now has a two-time Indoor Track All-American in Junior Madalenn Fee. Fee took the starting line in the 1000m twice last week, first in the preliminary round, and then again in the finals on Saturday. Fee qualified for the finals by finishing with one of the top 8 times in the preliminary round. While she didn't directly qualify for the finals by being in the top two of her heat, her time was quick enough to snag an at-large berth in the finals.

In the finals, Fee kicked it up a notch, improving her time from the prelims, and snagging a 6th place finish. That finish would garner her All-American honors, her 2nd such honor in as many seasons.

Cottey's Track squad now has a little break before getting into the Outdoor season, which is slated to kick off at the end of March at the Bearcat Invitational, hosted by Northwest Missouri State.
