Madalenn Fee becomes All-American in 3k Steeplechase

Cottey College junior Madalenn Fee delivered a standout performance at the 2025 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, securing a seventh-place finish in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase final. Her time of 11:02.54 not only marked a personal best but also earned her All-American honors, making her the first athlete in Cottey College history to achieve this distinction in outdoor track and field since joining the NAIA.

Hailing from Palmyra, New York, Fee's journey to the national stage has been marked by consistent improvement and dedication. Earlier in the season, she clinched the gold medal in the steeplechase at the Kip Janvrin Open, clocking a then-personal best of 11:04.98 and meeting the NAIA "B" standard . At the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Outdoor Championships, she secured a third-place finish in the steeplechase, contributing valuable points to her team's overall performance.

Fee's progression from a 21st-place finish at the 2023 NAIA Nationals to a top-seven placement in 2025 underscores her growth and resilience as an athlete .
