Cottey Volleyball picked up a crucial American Midwest Conference Victory Tuesday over the Williams Baptist Eagles. The win put Cottey into double digit wins for the season at 10-15 overall, and 2-4 in conference action. The win boosted the Comets up to 7th in the conference standings, a key mark as the Top 8 teams make the conference tournament and postseason play. Magdalen Dougherty led the way with 17 kills, while Staley Stallaby and Alli Jo Mitchell were the facilitators of the day, adding 25 and 24 assists respectively. Freshman Chloee DeWees led the back line with 22 digs, while Elena Adams and Kaylee Criswell had a solo block and 4 block assists each.
