The 2023 Cottey Comets Volleyball season came to a close Tuesday evening. The Comets were seeded 5th in the American Midwest Conference Tournament, traveling to take on the 4th seeded William Woods Owls. The home  team would grab the advantage early, and never relinquished it. Kyleigh Talbott and Kaylee Criswell led the way for the Comet offense, putting up 7 Kills apiece in the match. It was Criswell's final game in a Comet jersey, but the graduate senior made a tremendous impact on this team, and the program overall. Alli Jo Mitchell was the key facilitator on offense, dishing out 13 assists. There were many Comets who contributed on the defensive end, but Stella Cordrey was top of the stats marks with 8 digs. 

There were multiple Comets named to the AMC All Conference Teams this week, as well as multiple Academic All-AMC award winners. The Comets finish the year 12-17 Overall.
