Lace Up Your Sneakers for Cottey College's Exciting Fun Run/Walk 5K!
Cottey College Athletics is thrilled to announce its 4th annual road race, set to take place on Saturday, September 28th at 8 a.m. This event promises to be a morning filled with fun, fitness, and community spirit—plus a few adorable surprises!
The race, which will start bright and early on the Cottey College campus outside of Main Hall, is open to runners of all ages and skill levels. Participants will have the chance to enjoy a route through town, celebrate their accomplishments with a commemorative medal, and receive a stylish tee shirt included in their registration fee (if they pre-register by Friday, September 20th).
Schedule:
- 7:00 a.m. - Registration/Check-in
- 8:00 a.m. - 5K Run/Walk
- 8:15 a.m. - 1 Mile Family Fun Run & Walk
- 9:00 a.m. - Awards Presentation
Pricing:
- 5K Run/Walk - $40
- Cottey Student, Faculty & Staff - $20
- 1 Mile Family Fun & Walk - $30 for 4 participants
Runners are welcome to bring their dogs with them to join in the run. If you don't have a dog to run with and would like one, the Nevada Animal Shelter will be on hand to provide running companions.
Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a way to get active and support a good cause, this road race is the perfect opportunity. All proceeds from the event will support Cottey College Athletics and local community initiatives.
